Shamim, Vancsik in the lead
Shamim Khan, Jeev Milkha Singh and Rahil Gangjee took turns to remind the overseas contenders that Indian golfers were here to compete and not just to make up the numbers in the $2.57 million Johnnie Walker Classic Golf at the DLF Golf and Country Club here.
In near-perfect conditions for golf, with the wind behaving itself after emerging as a worrying factor over the past two days, Shamim shot a bogey-free five-under 67. He shares the lead with Argentine Daniel Vancsik, who fired an eagle and three birdies on the last 10 holes.
